2026 IFSS DRYLAND
PANAMERICAN
CHAMPIONSHIPS & MASTERS

TEAM CANADA SELECTION CRITERIA

IFSS PANAMERICAN CHAMPIONSHIPS and MASTERS 2026

November 11-15, 2026
Emerald Forest, Amecameca, Mexico (2,600m above sea level)
2 hours from Mexico City International Airport

Canadian athletes interested in competing at the IFSS Dryland Panamerican Championships and Masters can find the selection critera below.

WE WILL BE USING THE SAME CRITERIA AS PAST YEARS:
 1. You will need a DID
2. You will need 4 races in 2 years finish in top 50% (4 in 4 yrs for rig)
3. You will need to race at a minimum of ONE RO sanctioned event
4. You will need an RO membership or independent membership with CAHDS

During the selection process the selection committee will consider the competitiveness level of the field: number of participants, best finish time etc…  Should 2 athletes have similar qualifications making them eligible for the same Team Canada spot, priority will be given to athletes residing within a province with a recognized Regional Organization.

NOTE:

While IFSS World Cup events typically provide a higher level of competition and you can collect IFSS points, you DO NOT need to compete in World Cup event only. If you collect enough points you might be eligible for automatic qualifier (see details on the IFSS website: https://sleddogsport.net/library/ under “regulation”) but this is independent from the CAHDS selection process.

Applications for these Championships will open soon. Watch this space!

There will be an application deposit of $100/discipline. If you are selected for the team this $100 will be applied towards your entry fee. If your application is complete, and you are not selected, this fee will be refunded. If you are selected, and decide not to participate in the championships, the application deposit will not be refunded. This application deposit has been added to the selection applications to place value on the time of the individuals who make up the Selections Committee, by helping to ensure those applying are serious about participating.
